Business Development of First Quarter 2008

2008 is an important year for Yinquan as it carries out its technology, marketing and strategic transformation and continues to expand its VoIP operations.

Yinquan has built an integrated information-based platform providing voice, video, documents and e-business services for its clients. This comprehensive platform uses IP communication as the core technology, which is highly adaptive to the next generation of communications and to the development of Internet services through both cable and wireless transmission.

Another technology development project is WIFI wireless coverage and technical cooperation with a U.S company. In addition, Yinquan is developing technology partnerships in wireless video monitoring systems with two companies.

During the first quarter, the company consolidated its sales and distribution channels as it eliminated several poorly managed distribution agents with low performance. Currently, there are one to three distributors in each city or region, and the company has committed more resources to assisting distributors with their growth needs.

Also in the first quarter, the company changed its customer acquisition strategy from focusing on individual consumers to targeting corporate clients with branch locations throughout the country and enterprises with outbound call centers. Currently, the company is developing business relationships with several enterprise customers.

Business cooperation is a new model in 2008. Leveraging off its core technology in VoIP, Yinquan will partner with companies that have Internet operations to provide embedded service for their members and explore other e-business opportunities as well.Potential partners include Acorn International.

Call center management is one of the important development projects for Yinquan in 2008. The company plans to establish a free communications management platform for global enterprises by building and promoting the “IPCC international business call center” with a multi-language search engine. Large industrial companies as well as small and medium sized enterprises are the target customers. The overall design has been finalized and the key hardware has been installed in the new office building of Yinquan. Details of the program are currently under development. Based on the company’s plan, online testing will take place in the second quarter and the trial test will start in May.

    Expert’s Voice

China VoIP & Digital Telecom Director Expresses Opinions about China Telecom Restructuring on www.sina.com.cn
A member of the board of directors at Yinquan Technology, Mr. Kaili Kan, recently published an article about the possible restructuring of China's telecom industry on www.sina.com.cn.Mr.Kan, a professor at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, is also a director of China's Information Industry Policy and Development Institute and Commissioner of the Advisory Commission for China's Telecommunications Act.He formerly served as a strategy consultant on telecommunications policies and development at the World Bank.Professor Kan earned a doctorate degree from Stanford University. Mr.Kan believes that the most important issues facing the China telecom industry are:
    • How to leverage the enormous productivity created by modern telecom technology (such as VoIP)
    • How to wrest control of industry policies from special interests groups in order to implement fair policies
    • How to change the telecom carriers’ traditional operating model

Mr. Kan also believes that as telecom services move towards the Internet Protocol (IP) based model, telecom carriers will eventually lose control of their networks, and become merely "transparent pipeline" providers.

Mr.Kan pointed out in his article that the evolution of China’s telecom industry is inevitable.VoIP technology and services should continue to expand throughout the country, although at a slow pace, since policy makers are still trying to protect the profitability of large state-owned enterprises.CVDT continues to push forward with new products and services and is planning to enter the international market.

Mr.Kan is an authoritative leader in the telecom industry. With his ongoing efforts to accelerate the pace of development of the China telecom industry, we are fortunate to have him as a member of the board of directors at Yinquan.
